PitchMatch! was created by researchers at the Feinstein Institute for Medical Research in New York in order to understand variation in musical pitch perception and innate musical ability in the general population. No musical training or experience is required!Whether you are a seasoned music professional or have never even touched a musical instrument, PitchMatch! gives you the power to explore musical pitch perception abilities you may be unaware you possess. It can also be used to develop your pitch perception skills with practice. You may discover that you have the rare musical trait known as absolute* (perfect) pitch! PitchMatch! shows how your results compare to the general population. Challenge yourself to play through all levels (1-6) of increasing difficulty.
